Joyce is the current president of the Union County Writers' Club. She is a published poet and is currently working on a book of poetry. She also writes short stories and children's stories. She is a former reading specialist who has taught at all levels, kindergarten through college. She is married, mother of two adult sons, and active in her church and community.
